In 2006 established Public Communications Office at Vytautas Magnus University aims to maintain effective communication with targeted audiences (students, professors, administration, alumni, sponsors, media, etc.), plays an essential role in the successful development of a modern university.

Public Communications Office is accountable to the University Secretary and also is responsible for media relations, relations with alumni, management of University events, administration of the University archive, publishing, and marketing.

The Office also supports the University by communicating strategic goals and achievements to internal as well as external publics, what resulted in the need for establishing international information and communication platform – website StudyKaunas.eu. This international project is a member of a bigger family of online projects, established and maintained by Public Communications Office at VMU, namely: Vdu.lt, TvDu.lt, ViDuje.lt.

StudyKaunas.eu is targeted at the international students, who want to sniff around the possibilities to study in Kaunas, who have already planned to study here, who are residing in Kaunas or who just want to know if their friends, who study in Kaunas, are not trying to fool them by saying, that they are really enjoying their studies in Kaunas.
